ELAI's AGM took place on the 10th May in the Merrion Hotel.
It was lovely to see so many of you in person after such a long time of remote events and to those who couldn’t make it we hope to see you soon!
Ms Michelle Ní Longáin, President of the Law Society was our keynote speaker and gave a thought provoking talk on the Law Society’s Dignity Matters Report. Michelle also updated attendees on all the excellent work being carried out by the Law Society in addressing bullying, harassment and sexual harassment in the solicitor’s profession.
Eilis Barry, Chief Executive, FLAC, accepted a donation from ELAI to support their work on employment rights and awareness. Eilis gave members an update on FLAC’s vital and important services and particularly the impact the Covid-19 impact had on the service.
ELAI also announced our 2022 Student Competition Winners and presented them with their prizes. Congratulations again to Paul Maier, Eire Dempsey, Anna Offergeld and Sean Heeran.
The following committee positions were confirmed at the AGM Linda Hynes as Chair, Julie Galbraith as Vice Chair, Alice Duffy as Secretary, Ciarán Ahern as Treasurer and Elizabeth Mara as Membership Secretary.
