COVID 19 – Whistleblowing, Health and Safety and the Return to Work

This is our second podcast during COVID 19 and is chaired by Colleen Cleary of CC Solicitors. In this podcast we explore the nuances of the pandemic in the context of the Return to Work Protocol where health and safety takes centre stage and is presenting probably the biggest health and safety challenge employers have ever been required to deal with in getting their staff back to work. There is a fantastic panel including Lauren Tennyson BL, Judy O'Loan in house counsel Transparency Ireland and Paul Daniels a UK based solicitor who specialises in acting for whistleblowers.  Listen to a lively debate by the panel on the status of the Return to Work Protocol, what is happening on the ground here and in the UK, what new issues and cases are arising for employment advisers, how do employers deal with specific COVID related complaints on health and safety, what are the main facets of the New Whistleblowing Directive and implications for Irish law, we also discuss what pro bono opportunities advisers could involve themselves in as a result of the pandemic.
