November 2019 - Seminar
Recent Employment Law Judgments and their implications in and on practice
Our next seminar will be on Wednesday 6th November 2019 in the office of Hayes Solicitors, Lavery House, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2 from 6pm for a 6-30pm start.
We are delighted to have secured Dr Des Ryan BL and Mr Michael O’Neill, Head of Legal at the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, as speakers.
Des is going give a talk entitled Recent Employment Law Judgments and their implications in and on practice. This will be similar to the talk Des gave this time last year giving us the details of the headline employment cases during the year. It will be a great way to learn about the implications of Judgments you will no doubt have heard of but may not have had an opportunity to consider in detail.
Michael is going to give a talk entitled The ‘Nano Nagle’ case: the judgment, its significance and IHREC’s involvement. As most of you will know, the IHREC acted as an amicus curiae in the Nano Nagle case in which the Supreme Court gave their Judgment over the summer and Michael will be able to provide a unique insight into the Judgment and its significance.
The Seminar will be chaired by ELAI Deputy Chair, Anne Lyne, Partner in Hayes. Tea and coffee will be available before the seminar and we invite you to stay around afterwards for some wine and canapés.
Kindly RSVP to Vanessa Bergin info@elai.ie
